DAY 1 — WELCOME TO CANCUN! Meet your GTC guide and fellow adventurers on your Mayan odyssey. While the kids have fun with the GTC guide, you have time to explore on your own and dine in Mérida D

DAY 2 — CHICHÉN-ITZÁ. After an early breakfast, we tour the ancient city of Chichén- Itzá, which between AD 800–1200 was the centre of political, religious and military power in Yucatán, if not all of southeastern Meso- America. Lunch at the cenote ikil and then on to visit Mérida, the capital of Yucatán and a designated American Capital of Culture. Lateafternoon, enjoy music and dance in the local zócalo, or village square. The evening is Time Together—Time Apart. While the kids have fun with the GTC guide your have to explore on your own and dine in Mérida. B,L

DAY 3 — CULTURE AND CAVES. Following breakfast, we depart for Uxmal. As a world heritage site, Uxmal is one of the more impressive restored and maintained ruins in the Yucatán. Legend has it that Itzamna built the House of the Magician—a 100-foot high structure—overnight. Next we visit the Loltun Caves, the largest on the peninsula, to see the stalactites and stalagmites, and incredible frescoes. Enjoy Time Together-Time Apart this evening. B,L,D

DAY 4 — CITY TOUR AND VALLADOLID VISIT. Early morning Mérida city tour including the Museum of History. Depart for Yaxuna’m, a Mayan community promoting the use of traditional and ancient medicines. After lunch, it’s on to Valladolid, known by the Mayans as Zací, or white hawk. Use the afternoon and evening as free time to explore and to enjoy an evening meal with your family. B,L

DAY 5 — LONG LOST CITY. Visit to the ancient ruins at Cóba, an off-the-beaten-path adventure that most tourists won’t see. This long-lost city, known as the City of Ghosts, was only rediscovered in the late-nineteenth century. We travel onto Tulum after lunch. This walled city, which dates back to AD 564, stands on a bluff over looking the Caribbean Sea. From here we go to Playa del Carmen and our hotel. B,L,D

DAY 6 — SIAN KA’AN BIOSPHERE RESERVE. Following breakfast, visit the extraordinary Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve that is one-third marine zone, one-third wetlands and one-third tropical forest. Learn about monitoring the coral reef, sustainable fishing and much more. Lunch is at Tulum. We return to our hotel and free time by the pool until we meet again for dinner. B,L,D

Spend the day at the beach or the poolDAY 7 — RELAX OR EXPLORE. Today is free time and your opportunity to explore the Playa del Carmen on your own, or to spend the day at the beach or the pool. Tonight we meet for our farewell dinner. B,L,D

DAY 8 — FAREWELL! Adios y Gracias for joining us on our magical Mayan Mysteries tour. B
