Generations Touring Company SM Announces 2004 Tours

Seattle, October 10, 2003 – The innovative intergenerational travel company, Generations Touring Company SM, (GTC), the premier provider of escorted and independent travel experiences for grandparents, grandchildren and families headquartered in Seattle, Washington has released its 2004 departure schedule.

Developed by a team of teachers, grandparents, parents, children and travel professionals, each tour is designed to cater to the practical and emotional needs of different generations traveling together. GTC travelers can choose a tour based on activity level and degree of preferred independence. All tours feature unique and unusual experiences adding to the opportunities for family members to connect with each other and the destination they are visiting.

Generations Touring Company’s SM 20 escorted tours are designed especially for the world’s newest traveling companions. Featured itineraries stimulate curiosity, encourage exploration and are fun-filled. In addition, each tour is carefully planned to allow personal time for the family members to relate to each other on an intergenerational level. Supervised activities are coordinated to allow for times when children will enjoy time with other children while the adults enjoy time together.

A wide array of activities are scheduled based on each itinerary and may include natures hikes, white water rafting, ariel tramway excursions, kayaking, helicopter flightseeing, cruises, rail adventures, museums, amusement parks and zoos, cultural encounters, music events, sporting events, arts & crafts and cooking with the locals, theatre performances. All itineraries will include activities designed by age group to enhance the knowledge and cultural awareness of the destination. Details of all carefully selected activities are found in the day-by-day itineraries.

Tour rate includes hotel, rail, shipboard or other accommodations, meals, snacks and beverages as described in the final itinerary; motorcoach and other transportation; hotel taxes, baggage handling; the services of a GTC Educator-Escort and an experienced Travel Manager; and all guides, drivers, sightseeing and admissions as per the itinerary and airfare if specified in the itinerary. All Generations Touring CompanySM travelers will receive a GTC Travel Pack that includes a field guide, water bottle, and other entertaining items prior to departure. Rates are from $2,700 per person, double occupancy.
