Booking Terms and Conditions:
All Inclusive Prices – All gratuities, accommodations, special dinners, land transportation,
sightseeing, luggage handling and the services of a guide are included in the tour price as specified
herein. Tours typically number 15 – 25 people. Published prices reflect cash discounts.
Accommodations – All accommodations are included. Two bedded rooms with private bath
are reserved in most hotels. Quads and triples are usually two bedded rooms plus rollaway cot and
aren’t generally recommended for comfort. On some itineraries rollaways aren’t available and extra
persons must use existing bedding. Connecting and adjacent rooms are by request only and are not
guaranteed. For safety and security of your family, children under 18 years of age must stay in the
same room as an accompanying adult.
Meals – Most meals are included as specified in the itinerary. Meal codes are: B =Breakfast,
L=Lunch, D=Dinner, S=Snack. We will do our best to accommodate special dietary requests that are
communicated in advance.
Gratuities Included – For all groups over ten persons, all standard gratuities for luggage
handling, bellmen, doormen, dining room servers, housekeepers, local guides, drivers and guides are
included. On tours which include transport by train or cruise ship, all customary staff gratuities are
included. For groups less than ten persons most gratuities are included please consult GTC for more
information
Not Included - Airfare, departure taxes (and airport transfers to the North American tour departure
point and from the tour ending point) are not included. GTC maintains a close affiliation with a
travel agency to assist with securing the best airfares.
Hotel Rooms Before and After Tours – GTC will make reservations before or after your
tour at most of our first and last night hotels upon request. Reservations are on a space available
basis and must be arranged through GTC. The extra expense for these arrangements will be added to
your tour cost. Please note: Airport transfers are not included for these bookings unless noted.
Personal Expenses – Phone calls, room service, alcoholic beverages, mineral waters, soft
drinks, laundry, airline excess baggage charges and other optional incidental extras are not included
and may become significant.
Baggage Responsibility – Although every effort is made to handle guest’s luggage carefully,
we cannot assume liability or accept claims for loss or damage to luggage nor personal effects
due to breakage, theft, or normal wear and tear through hotel, airline or group carrier handling. If
reimbursement is important to you it is very important that you have adequate insurance.
Before You Go
Airline Security Measures – All adult air travelers must provide identification in the form of a passport
or photo-driver’s license at the time of airport check-in. While not required it is a good idea that
similar photo ID be available for children. Your identification name must match your tour reservation
and your airline ticket or you may be denied boarding.
Code of Conduct – GTC accepts all persons on its tours. GTC reserves the right to terminate the
tour of any persons who are abusive of others or whose behavior disrupts the operation of a tour.
Travelers Needing Special Assistance – GTC regrets that it cannot provide individual
assistance to guests for walking, dining, or other personal needs. Persons needing such assistance
must be accompanied by an able companion who will assist them.
Safety and Welfare Responsibility of Children – Please be informed that any minor
traveling on a GTC tour is the sole responsibility of the parent and/or guardian. The accompanying
adult must ensure that all rules of safety and conduct are followed by the children in their party.
Photography on Tour – GTC reserves the right to take photographs on tour and use them for
promotional purposes. By booking a GTC tour, travelers agree to allow their image to appear in such
photographs. Tour participants who prefer that their image not be used are asked to notify the GTC
sage at the beginning of the tour.
Itinerary Changes and Flexibility – GTC will make every effort to operate our tours as
advertised. Travelers should be flexible as situations may arise, either voluntarily or involuntarily,
that necessitate changes to the itinerary. On these occasions GTC reserves the right to alter the
itinerary or change properties as deemed necessary. Any net savings realized by such changes will
be refunded to affected passengers and any additional costs over the original cost of the tour will be
borne by GTC.
Limitation of Liability - Generations Touring Company® is a Maine corporation based
in Nobleboro Maine. GTC purchases transportation, hotel accommodations, restaurant and other
services from various independent suppliers that are not subject to its control. Generations Touring
Company® CANNOT, THEREFORE, BE LIABLE FOR DEATH, PERSONAL INJURY OR ANY OTHER LOSS that
may occur due to any act or omission of any such supplier and/or by reason of any other event over
which it has no control. Payment of tour cost constitutes your acceptance of the Terms and Conditions
set forth herein and in more specific passenger tour documentation.
If You Have to Cancel
Cancellation and Transfer Fees – Regardless of the reason, cancellations and transfers from one tour
to another result in costly charges from our suppliers. Therefore the following fees apply. In fairness
to others, we cannot make exceptions. These fees apply whether or not a person transfers to another
tour departure. Time of cancellation will be when notice is received in our Maine office.
90 Days or More Before Departure...................$300 per person
89 – 45 Days Before Departure .......................75% of tour cost
44 – 15 Days Before Departure........................50% of tour cost
14 - 1 Days Before Departure ........................100% of tour cost
Claims and Refunds – Except for verifiable extenuating circumstances, refunds are not made
for any missed tour services. For verifiable claims to be considered, they must be received in writing
30 days of termination of the tour and be accompanied by supporting documentation. Any adjustment
considered will be based on the actual costs of the services involved. Adjustments will not be
made for unused sightseeing trips or meals. GTC will not accept liability for any claims received after
30 days of the termination of your tour.
Deposits and Payment – A $500 deposit is required to confirm your booking. Full payment is
due 45 days before tour departure.
